Our tour guide Cesar was amazing and extremely knowledgeable! He has a big personality and extremely funny which made such a difference.
We wanted to see Chichen Itza to get an insight into the culture and history of Mexico and it didn’t disappoint!
The cenote was beautiful – but cold! The food included at the cenote was also really nice.
The tequila tasting at the end of the tour was a great addition!
The journey is long but definitely worth it for a great experience! Thanks to Cesar (our guide) and Rahul (our driver!)

Cesar the tour guide and Raul the driver from SAT Mexico were wonderful, patient, kind, and knowledgeable! From hotel pick up to Chichen Itza, to the cenote, and to the city of Valladolid, to the authentic Mexican food, all went smooth!!
I enjoyed every second of it with my boyfriend! We will be back!!

This tour is fantastic! We traveled with thre kids (ages 9, 12, 13) and they enjoyed it very much too. The first stop is Chichen Itza. It goes without saying this an amazing site to appreciate the accomplishments of the Maya. Our youngest probably didn’t quite appreciate all the history the other two were amazed. The second stop was at a spectacular cenote, with refreshing water that everyone loved. We also ate lunch at this stop, which is in a beautiful park under a large palapa. Lunch was great. My wife is vegetarian and there were plenty of options for her too (phew!). The third stop is in a historic and charming village that is great place for souvenirs, coffee, ice cream, and other local goodies you won’t find in Cancun.
Lastly, our guides Rey, Pastor, and Miguel are wonderful. Pastor kept things organized and moving quickly, and Rey was terrific providing historical context, insights to life in the area, all with a great sense of humor in English and Spanish. They kept the group together, looked out for us, and ensured an amazing trip. Highly recommend!
Lastly, a lot of places advise to book through your hotel (we were at the Lagunamar) but this tour was at least as good if not better than the ones through the hotels. You can book this one without hesitation. I liked the all-inclusive option as it simplified a few instances instead of having to pay in the moment (and get in line) – for example a small fee for a life jacket if your going to swim in the cenote.

I have to say that this was one of the best parts of my trip to Cancun. For one, the bus that takes you to Chichen Itza is very comfortable with good A/C and they were very punctual! Roughly one hour before getting to Chicen Itza the travel guide will explain a few things about the trip and also the cultural aspects behind certain things in regards to the region and Mayan culture. Here he will ask if you want to purchase an optional handmade Mayan-style painting that tells you certain things about your Mayan horoscope. In my trip I had the pleasure of enjoying the professionalism from the bus driver Miguel, and the two travel guides Allan and Mr. Rabies (really awesome people!). Before hoping off the bus the travel guide will collect the mandatory payment to enter Chichen Itza for $30 (think of it as a museum payment). Then, the travel guide will show you around for one hour and give you another hour of leisure time. Once that’s done you meet at a specific point and then head in the same bus to the Cenote were you will also enjoy the buffet; I must say the Cenote is an experience that one must live. Yes, its deep; in fact, 130ft deep but you get to purchase a mandatory life vest for $5 and a locker if you need to for another $5. After you’re done swimming you move onto the buffet. Then you head to Valladolid for 30 minutes. Finally, some tips for this trip are: 1) check the weather 2) Don’t bring unnecessary stuff 3) Bring a charging pod for your phone
