Luis was our tour guide on this trip. He was very knowledgeable about the Mayan history. He was passionate about his culture and it showed. He translated everything into english and spanish so everybody could understand. I learned a lot about the Mayan civilization in this short trip. The time allocated at each stop was enough for most but would of loved to stay a little longer at the cenote and of course more time to explore and shop. My favorite was the cenote and our last stop at Valladolid where we got to taste some delicious tequila and Mayan drink. The ice cream was fantastic too!! I contacted the tour a day before to make sure I am waiting at the correct spot at the hotel so pick up was smooth.

This tour is of great value. We visited Chichen Itza, a cinote and the downtown square of an old colonial town. It was a busy day full of fun.
Our tour guides were amazing and hardworking. They did the tour in two languages and were fun and educational. I would give them 5 stars!
But be aware of what is all included in the fee you paid. I had to pay extra on the bus for the pyramid admission fee. Also, like many guided tours, there are opportunities where you may be convinced to purchase items. Overall, it was an enjoyable tour!! I would recommend!

I loved the advice given to us about the umbrella at the Chichen Itza tour. I learned a lot about the Maya. Cesar’s explications were clear and great. Also, the advice to swim first and eat after for the Cenote was also awesome. I will recommend this tour to my family. Above all thanks to the driver Cesar. He was always on time.

I loved the whole day! Norma (& Miguel/“Mike” — but mostly Norma) shared fascinating detailed information about Mayan history & the Mayan people. Walking among the ruins & swimming in the cenote were both incredible experiences. The included buffet lunch at the cenote was delicious, & offered variety even for me (a vegetarian with celiac disease & corn allergy!). Note that drinks (water, soda, etc.) are not included with the buffet, but can be purchased inexpensively from the wait-staff.
I would have loved spending hours (days, actually!) instead of just 30 minutes wandering through the charming town of Merida! (This isn’t a complaint, just a comment!)
The bus transportation was very comfortable, the driver was clearly experienced & made me feel safe (not all bus drivers have that skill!). I really appreciated being able to leave my unneeded items on the bus at the various stops — the driver was either on the bus during stops or locked the bus during longer stops.
Recommendations for tourists to Chichen Itza:
*Sunglasses — the limestone everything is white, the sun is bright, my eyes died!
*Sunscreen — I used 70 SPF (thank goodness, or I would have been burnt to a fiery red!) — use coral reef-safe so you’re not putting gunk into the beautiful water of the cenote which is connected to other beautiful underground rivers, some of which then connect to the ocean.
*Wide-brimmed hat — trust me! You’ll thank me!
*Umbrella for shade — I wish I’d had one!
*Pesos for purchasing local handicrafts. Be sure to bargain the prices down, but note that the starting prices in these pop-up shops are ~half the prices in the airport shops or at the fancy resorts!
***Note: You cannot take a bag or backpack, just a small bag with phone, camera, money. You also cannot take food or liquids, but your tour guide will give you a bottle of (tepid) water upon your arrival which you can carry in with you.
Recommendations for tourists to the cenote:
*Waterproof bag/cover for your phone (or an underwater camera) so you can take pictures while in the water! I didn’t have this & sincerely wish I had!
*Beach towel for after your swim.
*A bag for your wet swimsuit & towel.
*A fresh change of clothes if you don’t want to put your sweaty clothes back on after your refreshing swim!
*If you take medications/supplements with lunch, be sure to take them with you for the delicious buffet after swimming in the cenote.
*Pesos to purchase drinks at the buffet.
General recommendations for tourists on this tour:
*Wear a mask. Covid is still thriving, & the person sitting or standing next to you could be asymptomatic & blissfully unaware that they’re spreading the virus…
*Take sanitizing hand wipes. Although there was a bathroom on our bus (thankfully!), there wasn’t any soap (I couldn’t find it anyway), so I was glad for my neurosis of packing handiwipes.
*Pack your own fluids. I froze 3 or 4 water bottles (I love cold water, not tepid!) & stayed hydrated through the day. These were left in my backpack on the bus during our stops, but I was able to drink a lot during the rides between stops.
*Pack snacks — with the intense heat & sweating, a handful of salted roasted mixed nuts was helpful. Plus an apple. I also froze a bottle with my coffee of choice & drank it as it thawed.
I do wish that the cost of admission to Chichen Itza had been included in the cost of the tour, rather than having to pay cash/pesos while on the bus before arrival. I also wish the cost of renting a life jacket (required for the cenote) & locker fee had been included in the cost of the tour rather than having to stand in line at the entrance to the cenote to pay for these. But these are very minor complaints.
I highly recommend this tour with this company! In fact, if I ever go back to the Yucatan Peninsula, I’d love to take this tour again!

Great trip. Picked up from location on time and had a wonderful excursion to Chichen Itza , Cenote and Valolidad town. Norma and Martine had great knowledge about the Mayans. It was nice to leave the resort and explore the area for the day
