Purchased my tickets in advanced. Their website shows that the night show is at 7pm. However the day we arrived (we were staying right next door so we walked there) it was around noon thinking we had until 7pm to enjoy the park. We were WRONG. They did show at 5pm that day with NO advance noticed. They did offer us to go the next day however we were flying out the next day.

For the cost of this park, I completely feel ripped off. I recommend this park to everyone all the time (this was my third time) but not any more.

SCAMMERS! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!! My family and I were here in early January of 2022. We purchased tickets to Xcaret the morning of and took a taxi to the location. As we walked into the park, a rainstorm passed through and they shut the activities in the park down for a 1.5 hours. We had small children with us (6 & 3).

Unfortunately, we could not wait out the storm with our kids so we headed to customer service where they had us fill out paperwork and promised us a refund in 3-5 days. After our vacation we headed back to the States and waited months for a refund. We emailed Xcaret multiple times and they would respond here and there saying it was coming. We sent countless emails until we were forced to dispute the charge with the credit card company. We found out a month ago that our dispute was denied, as Xcaret said it was against their policies to give refunds.

We have petitioned the dispute and submitted our paperwork showing proof of our promised refund to Chase Bank.

Shame on Xcaret for being dishonest with their customers. Folks, Xcaret is a large company that is only there to take your money! Everything is a fee, even the towels. If you really want a good experience, visit the smaller cenotes in villages like Tanka Park. Xcaret and its sister companies will take your money and don’t care about you.

If overpaying for photos, towels and food is your thing – this is the place for you! Do your homework, there are much better places to visit in Cancun/Mexico.

Amazing place and great food!! you gonna find many activities at same place, also if you don’t like extream activities, there’re many places to rest. absolutely great!

Xcaret felt like a tourist con. You pay a lot of money to get into the park, have access to a river and a show at night which we did not see because we wanted to get the 4oclock bus home otherwise the next bus was 9pm. If you want access to any other activities, expect to pay an extra fee of $80+.

Compared to its sister park XPLOR, xcaret is a huge waste of money. Basically a small zoo and a river.
