So first off our driver on the Xcaret tour bus was Good. The tour guide told us we could leave any time we wanted THAT IS NOT TRUE. We were exhausted and wanted to leave at around 550. But lo and behold the last bus has just left at 545 and we are stuck here until closing at 945. That is an excruciating long day when you have children. The food was ok glad it was included in our ticket price. The kids area water was slimy. They obviated try to up sell you on everything then trap you here to watch the last show and hopefully spend more money.

This is a great place to relax and enjoy with your family. The services and attention was spectacular. Everything was clean a well organized.
This is a place that I recommend and will return.

The park is just too crowded, didn’t have adequate facilities and was poorly run. We purchased our tickets online for “plus” access but still had to wait 45 mins in line after arriving to get braclets and then another 10 mins to get a locker key.
The underground river was dirty and we kept getting bumped or splashed by other swimmers.
The snorkeling area was so full you spent more time looking at people’s feet than fish.
We had the buffet lunch included and it was just meh. I’d say it was about China buffet quality.
The animals looks sad and poorly treated. Their habits we’re too small.
The night show was pretty good and we’d recommend staying if you do go. But there is so much more to do in Cancun.

Aviary, butterfly exhibit, floating down a river and snorkelling were our highlights here. The park is easy to navigate. All in all it was an enjoyable excursion.

This place was sold to us as an absolute dream. We are a honeymooning couple and were looking forward to seeing nature up close and swimming with it. We paid £192 for the pair of us which included travel to the park and entry. And that it all it included. We were told you can see 40 attractions for that price but I believe they mean seeing a flamingo counts as an attraction, then a raccoon, then a monkey etc. The only attractions included in that are a couple of shows around the park which are literally three times a day and impossible to see all of them. That is about it. To be fair, the bird aviary was good and that was probably the highlight. Most of the other attractions are just a way of coaxing you in so you can spend more money.
We then upgraded to the plus entry, for around £60 between us, which gave us entry to the underground rivers and a locker to store our items in. The river is crowded with people and quite claustrophobic as a result. If you don’t upgrade then you need to pay more money to rent a locker. The price of the upgrade included a buffet lunch which you can only access once (bearing in mind some people are at the park from 0800 to 2130!). It has unlimited soft drinks (for as long as you’re at your one buffet sitting) and allows you one beer (no alcoholic alternative to beer). We chose to eat at the Caribbean buffet and it featured fine Caribbean cuisine as burgers, hotdogs, chips, plain chicken wings, salads and cheese. Not a single piece of jerk chicken or rice and peas in site. If you didn’t have the upgrades entry this would set you back around £16.
The adverts have all of these amazing experiences, white knuckle boat rides, sea bed walks with manta Ray’s and sting Ray’s, massages, swimming with dolphins, sharks etc which when you actually see up close are cramped and not at all personal, unique or even friendly to the animals. And NONE of this is included in the prices, any of the upgraded prices, they ALL cost more money, between around £30 to £70 a time. The stingray underwater tour lasts for about 50 metres and it’s over. EVERYTHING here is about making money and nothing else, lockers are in one fixed position so you have to spend half the time walking across the park and back to change for different attractions. We had simply had enough by 1400hrs and got a taxi back to our hotel, the best 25$ we spent that day. Not before being asked about the photos we had taken that day, which of course were not included in the price, we only had five taken (using your wrist band you can scan a code at various points and have a camera take your picture) and they were looking for another £30 from us.
We left through where we entered… the gift shop, which is enormous. They want you to spend money before you even get in there. I’ve never written a review as scathing as this before but we feel we have been well and truly ripped off, this park is not about conservation but making money, money above all else, money at all costs.
In total this place cost us nearly £250 between us and it was not worth… let’s say £100 for the pair.
I’m sure the management will reply to this to tell you otherwise but buyer beware, this place is a con and nothing more. Extortion and racketeering disguised as wildlife and conservation.
There are plenty of other things you can do without giving to this place. Avoid.
