This park offers a full day out with a Variety of activities for everyone.
We started swimming the underground river which was beautiful. Life jackets are provided so very safe. Our clothes were transported to the end of the swim.
As we purchased Plus tickets a two course lunch was included.
The aviary has many Macaws with freedom for them to move around as they please. The butterfly pavilion was lovely too.
There are cultural Mayan sights to see including churches and chapels.
New to the park is the photo locations. Scan your wristband and there is a countdown for a ‘xelfie’. As these are in all the prominent places a camera or GoPro is really not needed for the day! Professional photographers are on site also
The park only drops a star as some of the animals are an afterthought and their enclosures are not big or enriching enough, particularly the jaguars who pace a tiny island

My wife and I booked this trip through our concierge at our hotel. We payed $150 each and that included transportation, lunch buffet with a beer, locker rental, and snorkel rental.
We really loved this place and there are a few must do’s. There are the three different rivers. The first river you can float on a guided boat near the entrance of the park through a jungle river with a few animals to see along the way. The other two rivers allow you to grab a life jacket and float through underwater tunnels. I highly recommend buying the 40 dollar package at the entrance of the park because there are several selfie stations throughout the park that allow you to take several pictures with a professional camera without the worry of getting your phone wet.
The other must do is snorkeling in the small inlet. It can be a little crowded and there is a strong current but there are several beautiful fish to see. If you are not a strong swimmer consider swimming in the cove that is far to the left and away from the inlet.
The lunch buffet is great because there are options for all diets and the food was better than our all inclusive luxury resort.
Another huge tip is consider bringing water shoes! This park has lots of water activities and it is easiest to wear water shoes to get in and out and protect your feet from rocky bottoms. Without paying for all the extra experiences available, you can see everything in the park in 6 hours. We didn’t see the final show because we were so exhausted towards the end and had already seen similar shows.

A great way to spend a day. A little on the expensive side but worth the money.
I am not sure if there is enough to keep young teenagers amused though if they are not into nature, zoos etc.
We only did one underground river as the one we went on, the blue one, had little or no current and at over 900m it took us the best part of an hour to swim. You get held up by large groups all wanting to have photos taken. If we had done all 3 we would have spend all day on them as you have to walk all the way back up again.

First of all the xcaret is a beautiful park which is big!! We booked our trip with our airport transfer company holiday taxis which had a great price and we trusted them….. Well was a great price until we visited. All I can say is the entrance fee which includes dinner a drink with a snorkeling hire ie the type you can purchase from the supermarket cost my party of 6 adults 1 child and 3year old was free just shy of £700.00. This was definitely not worth this amount of money. This park has loads to offer but it’s all extra price when you get in the park. Yes we had a swim in a cave and looked and some fish in the sea seen two shows which I add was on very late we didn’t get back to the hotke till gone 10.30pm after leaving at 9.15am but we didn’t get £700 worth of trip. To be honest I was expecting so much more from this trip with what the price was. So glad I didn’t book with tui which were more expensive. I give the lady at guest services credit she did offer us all a free return as shows where cancelled in the day due to weather which can’t be helped but we have no time to come back so this gesture wouldnt of been any use to us. All I’m saying is beautiful bug park pricey for what it is. If you do go take plenty more cash for added activities. Photo pass seemed a good price though may I add. Down to each own x

This park is absolutely beautiful. The entire time I was in awe. My only complaint is that the river swimming should be spaced out like they do for water slides at water park. Because when you participate in this activity with small children other swimmers have no regards and my children and I got elbowed and kicked quite a few times by other swimmers who just don’t care who they step over.
