Xcaret is a amazing park the best of Riviera Maya. It has something for all ages. I have 3 kids 12,8 and a 4 year old. They all love it. The river the snorkel the food, everything is great. But for me the best part was the night show that’s is something else. Of course I’ll come back.

We did this excursion from a cruise ship and we did not regret it.

Our boat docked in Cozumel so we had to take a boat to Playa de Carmen followed by a bus to the park. All together it was about an hour. Our guide was Jose and he was amazing!!! He gave us a brief tour and history of the island on the way to the park as well as lots of useful information for making the best of our visit in the park.

The park is huge, I would therefore suggest choosing to do either water activities or dry activities. Trying to do it all will ruin your experience as you only have 4-5 hours in the park. We chose to do dry activities and still did not have enough time to see it all. The park is that amazing. It is set up in zones and the displays in each zone flow into each other. The displays are creative and there are lots of places for great photos.

We will definitely visit this park again on another trip, especially to try the lazy river. They also have some ladies who offer massages where they take you out on a boat on the river while doing the massage. There is so much to do in this park, it is truly amazing. We also missed out on some activities that take place late afternoon and at night. We are definitely looking forward to taking a trip to Mexico and visiting all of the Xcaret parks!

The evening show is absolutely spectacular, The park is good, the water caves though are a bit boring and nondescript, better off spending your time snorkeling in the bay area.
