It was the vacation of my life. The butlers were on top of everything every day. 1st class trip . Why would you go anywhere else? I’m going every year from here on out !

The cheapest ticket we found was 99 USD. After I visited the park, I really don’t understand what I’m paying for. Everything that looks fun to do, it costs extra (and it cost a lot). We paid 99 USD for swimming in an underground croweded river, to see a few animals and to stay on a beach. A waste of money and time!!!

It was so crowded but Xcaret had it all under control. They had staff everywhere to look after every guest. There were attendants everywhere ensuring you would not get lost in the parking lot or on the property. The Cemetario was truly an experience and worth the lineup inside the park. Not sure the lineups to get into the park at the ticket booth were the most effiicient as it took up to 30 minutes to serve some clients. Not sure why but not comfortable especially in the heat. There were lockers in a few locations. The Lazy River there was one of the best experiences we have had as a family. We were tired after about 45 minutes and thank goodness life jackets were mandatory as we need the rest . Can’t say much for the buffet there (included with Xcaret Plus).

I booked this trip in a shop on 5th avenue. Booked the black option, so we could benefit the cenotes. We did the whole trip, iT was amazing in the water, people where so nice to help also. Also the park is amazing, animals, horseshow is great, dolphins,…
Evening show is so worth!
Not far at all from playa del carmen. When we go back we Will definitely do this excursion again!

Pro’s
Bus journey fab, on time and very informative guide arianna.
Underground river the true highlight.
The layout is very well organised and the whole having your bag taken upto the beach on xcaret plus is very good.

The cons
Naively assumed the park would be same as xel ha and all inclusive ( my fault for not checking and also not bringing any real money )
So on our plus wristband we were entitled to one buffet restaurant visit each for the full day.
This i can just about deal with, the issue i had was when i wanted to fill my water bottle up ( not in the restaurant ) it was a clear no you need to buy it.
I find this very surprising considering the park claims to be eco friendly and being in sweltering hot mexican sun, the water fountains should be plentiful.

Did not agree at all with the puma and jaguar enclosure, seemed very small and cruel to have them encased on a little island with not far to go.

Showers and changing rooms terrible, i understand this was the first park of the xcaret family but i do think xcaret plus section must be fairly new so am unable to understand why they have put in tiny changing cubicles and cold showers outside in full view of everyone sitting and waiting.
Its clear this park recieves a lot of money and some slight changes could make it a lot better
