Nicely designed nature experience, with winding walkways. A number of rare animals can be seen. Some old Mexican and Mayan houses. Everything nicely presented. We especially liked the Hacienda.
A number of activities such as snorking, diving, boat ride can be bought separatly. The included channel and cave swimtour, can take long time and is a lot of swimming. If you take this in the afternoon, it will be less crowded.

We took the plus package, and enjoyed the included international buffet. Really good flank steak, but the French fries had some taste of fish. A number of interesting good tasing deserts were also found.

Prepare with good shoes, for a lot of walking.
We skipped the in plus package included snorkling, since it was in a narrow area and crowded.

We found three evening shows, Maya, Horse, and the big evening spectacle. The late two hour show is a must! It is extra extra, from a Mexican culture perspective. The arena had a lot of seats, and everyone found a seat.

All in all, a bit expensive, but it was a nice day.

Xcaret is an absolutely beautiful park. Plan a full day if you want to take in the activities the park has to offer. We booked the Plus option which includes the bus pick up, a meal at the buffet, a locker for the day and the snorkel gear.

The only complaint we had was with our tour guide Elena. She spoke rapidly, switching between English and Spanish with no warning making her hard to understand. After getting off the bus, she would say “follow me” and as soon as she stopped walking she started explaining even though most the group was not there yet and by the time the group was there she was done explaining and moving on. Very confusing and left us with no idea what was going on. I would not recommend her if you have a choice.

We visited the park 2 young and one elderly. We went to one ride (boat in the forest).. We enjoyed the ride.. But the way is rocky, up and down, and it was very hard for elderly to go through!!! After this ride we went back to front desk and to leave the park.
Admission were very kind and returned our money!

I have been a Vacation Club Member for 15 yrs and still Love my decision! My family of staff always treats me with kindness and respect. I actually fed a baby deer, Bambi, with a baby bottle at the First Club. Ava was kind enough to care for the little Bambi after it’s mother abandoned it. I also saw about 6 adult monkies traveling though the trees by the First Club. They were very friendly. We always enjoy our experiences at the Xcaret. The late night dancing is wild! The DJ finally played a nice selection of American Music, which being from the Disco Era, was Fabulous. One recommendation would be to have the a self serve coffee maker available to the First Club members, which is Not behind the bar. Some of us enjoy coffee thoughout the day. I would like to chose my own selections. Coffee drinkers are fussy! Also the Bar countertop needs replacing along with some new furniture. The cloth furniture was stained and showed signs of mold. I hope Barcelo keeps up and maybe exceeds the fine quality that I experienced with Occidental. Many thanks to The First Club Staff who always makes me feel at Home! Giovanna and Edward Bittner

Thoroughly enjoyed our day here, it was a long day but so worth it. We were picked up in a funky bus which made my day but the guide was brilliant really made us laugh. The show at the end of the night is a must and was phenomenal.
