The general admission price and associated fees are very expensive, but if you take advantage of just half of all the things there are to do, you will have gotten your money’s worth. If I didn’t know better, I’d think this was a Disney Park. Surprisingly, even though there seemed to be a Hugh number of people there on the day I went (based on a full parking lot of cars and buses), the park didn’t seem crowded and lines flowed smoothly.
My only two complaints were that signage and the Park maps aren’t clear in terms of trying to find individual attractions and some show times overlap which means you have to choose. Didn’t like that at all since there aren’t that many and they could certainly spread them out over the course of the day so that you could see all of them since the shows I saw were all great. One of the park employees told me it was due to a lack of performers because most of the cast members participate in more than one show. Well, hire more performers! They should certainly be able to afford it with ticket prices what they are.
But, absolutely don’t miss the evening show. It is a true celebration of all that is Mexico, the culture and it’s people packed into a 2 hour performance that you’ll thoroughly enjoy. So, start early and stay late so that you can enjoy it all. You’ll be tired, but not disappointed.

Well organized to give a relaxing, refreshing time from 9-9! Inspired by the theme parks in USA, the group has done a good job in creating entertainment conglomerate in this part of Mexico. Caters to varied cross-section of vacationers. Underwater river, beach activities, Mexican cemetery, village life, Aqua/wild life exhibits, restaurants and extravagant show at night are the highlights! Slightly, about 20-30% overpriced.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel XCARET Mexico, this was the first park we descovered and we needed two days to experience everything the park offered. It was fun swimming with the dolphins and the Grand show at the end was spectacular!

It was OK. We found that many people did not feel comfortable swimming, and were not strong swimmers; therefore they would bump into, hit, and splash you. when paddling in the water, it is advised to do so in the water, instead of on top, and in peoples faces. just a word of advice, if you have never used flippers on your feet before, to use in the water, instead of on top (which was not discussed by anyone on the bus, or anywhere else). we also noticed when going through the caves, that the water was salt water filtered, instead of with chlorine, or something stronger. this could lead to disease. there are too many children to have this happen. also, quite annoying to stop for everyone who wanted to selfie. prefer to enjoy and be in the moment, instead of waiting, and watching everyone to look at themselves, pose, and smile. we did enjoy the areas with animals, and just relaxing on the hammocks. did not truly get to enjoy snuba with the stingrays, as the couple in front of me was jumping around, posing for their pictures, and causing waves (which is not advised, if needing stability for your helmet to stay on), and for the stingrays. also, the person behind my husband was anxious, and leaning forward; who was encouraged to swim up. some activities are not advised for all, and the main theme I noticed is inconsideration of others. we also got montezumas revenge either from one of the restaurants, or from swimming in the non treated water. my poor husband had for 2 weeks. I prefer a much calmer, cleaner, and hospitable environment. Also, it was not discussed before getting to the park, that we would be in line for an hour, and would be paying extra for any activity. this was a let down, and felt misleading. the bus driver also, would not wait past a couple minutes for us to gather our belongings at the resort, to get to our room. he kept driving.we had to walk 15-20 minutes back. not very professional, and rude. we would not recommend to people who are used to being treated better; who are used to superb services, and clarity on what getting. there are plenty of other, and better experiences out there which are less expensive. we did like the beach there, and scenery. the store/shopping, was also interesting; however is not why we went. we would also advise the aviary, and butterfly garden. overall not worth it.
