I did a day trip tour from Playa del Carmen just to Xel-Ha with friends and it was brilliant! Not enough words of praise! All you can eat and drink whenever you want and this applies to all the activities available also. Do as much or as little as often or not, whatever suits you. Just amazing. One of the best places I have ever been. Big plus also, it’s environmentally concious and very aware. I visited in November 2018 (not 2019 in selector below) and the weather was wonderful.

We booked a tour for both Chichen Itzá and Xcaret thru Experiencias Xcaret. We had a great experience with both tours. Edwin, our guide for Chichen Itzá was very knowledgeable of the history of the Mayans and was actually pretty funny. Ami, the driver, was also very pleasant. Our family of four had a great time during both tours. I would only caution people not to pay too much attention to the guide for Xcaret, our guide didn’t give us the best advice in terms of what to do first and so on. I feel that we would’ve seen more at the park if we had followed our itinerary instead of what he suggested. Also, we got a better price for both parks but booking them together. Our kids had a great time at Xcaret and we’ll hopefully be going back in the near future.

The park itself is overwhelming in size, however if you plan for not trying to cram everything into one day, you will love your time there. Highly recommend swimming/floating through the river, eating at the buffet for lunch/dinner (exceptional food, was not expecting that from a buffet), checking out the incredible aquarium, and staying for the grand finale show. I was absolutely floored by the performances, I laughed, cried, and was full of pure joy. It was amazing!

Travelling to mexico was one of our bucket list wishes and now its done. Our sons gave us the tickets as a present and it includes xcaret park, the best place ever in the world, this oplace is magical.

We first visited Xcaret 20 years ago and decided to go back. WOW it was like a new park. Lots of walking but there is a lot to see. Maps were easy to navigate and color coded walkways make it foolproof. The lunch we had at stop 4 was excellent. The river swim, snorkeling, and boat ride are highlights for sure. Although speaking to the employees is not necessary, I was surprised how impersonal they were. This is not Disney where the cast members try to make your day special. Nobody said hello, can I help you, how’s your day, etc. All just walk past so if you need something you’ll need to approach them.
