Great nature park, plenty things to do, no matter if you are an adult or a child. The Maya river experience is a most, even if you can’t swim you can do it, you’ll get a life jacket and there are ropes along the river walls, the water is cold but in the heat of the day it feels nice. The you can visit the Mayan ruins, the mini zoo, the Aviary, the Coral Reef Aquarium, and the Butterfly Pavilion, the Mayan village, the Cemetery, La Hacienda, the manatees, the beach is not bad, try to catch some of the different shows and exhibitions throughout the day. Some other activities you can pay if you are into them: scuba diving, adrenaline speed boat, parasailing, etc.
From 7 pm to 10 pm, you can book the Xcaret México Espectacular presentation. It’s pretty decent, a little bit long, hot, no air conditioning in the theater, seats are far to be comfortable, even water is very expensive, but the show is good.
There are some restaurant and coffee shops, try La Cocina buffet, best Mexican food ever!

Got lost on underground river, wass not marked at intersection. 1.5 hr leisure swim turned into a marathon 3 hr swim and a lengthy walk. Nevertheless, enjoyed the park and animals, especially the birds and butterflies.

We called before we drove an hour to get here and told them we had a 3 year old who just wanted to enjoy the beach and toddler friendly activities. They said they did and he would enjoy it. Well they were wrong. We walked in humid heat throughout the park looking for this kid friendly area or a beach. Almost everyone acted like they didn’t speak English so we had a hard time figuring out (even with the map) how to get around. When we finally got to the kid area the guy told us we had to take our bags though this rope obstacle course. Really? 30 year old adults with diaper bags and what not have to lug through a ropes course made for kids just to get to the wade pool? So we left, we asked a guy in green and he said that we could walk to kid wade pool, yet the guy at the top refused to tell us how.

So we asked for the beach with sand, somewhere to sit while we swam in the ocean… they led us down a 35 minute drive walk to NOT AN OCEAN WITH A BEACH

no sand, no beach. We asked if they had an actual beach and they said no. So we walked another 35 minutes in the heat with a 3 year old to the front to ask for a refund and to go. Only to have the manager tell us we weren’t given the right information! An hour and a half into our time here.

The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they gave us our money back. If you have children of a young age who do not swim yet, DO NOT GO! It’s a pain in the butt to get anywhere. It’s hot, it’s not an easy walk. There were no great directions. No one seemed to be helpful unless you spoke Spanish.

I wouldn’t recommend this to any family. It was miserable and we wasted an entire day getting here and back.

They will pick you up at the airport and drop you off as well. While on the bus they issue you your bracelet in which you can open your suite and pay whatever you want during your stay. The ambient, customer service, and food are superb. They have -NATURAL DRINKS- AND WHEN I SAID NATURAL IT IS NATURAL. I TRY SO MANY LIKE DRACULA (BEETS-GINGER-CARROT- ORANGES) MY FAVORITE. They offer shuttle buses to take you to all the parks (Xplor, Xcaret, Xenses ……) food and drinks are free!!!! before my arrival I thought the price was high but after my experiences is worth every penny!

THE ONLY COMPLAINT THAT I HAVE IS, DONT TAKE A SUITE NEXT TO THE HANGING BRIDGES. PEOPLE ON VACATION ARE SUPER LOUD AND AT 11 OR 2 CLOCK IN THE MORNING PEOPLE WALK ON THOSE BRIDGES LIKE MONKEYS. besides that, my God I will definitely be coming back for more. The staff are super friendly and welcoming.
Another thing I recommended is to get your self-picture packages. They have cameras set up thru the hotel and all parks. The only thing you have to do is swipe your bracelet and smile!

XCARET! Was nice we loved the last show we purchased the dinner for the last show is optional but is better because they give you a better place for the show
