Highly recommend the Isla Mujeres luxury sailing excursion. We had Reuben and crew as our guides and they were great. You get to snorkel on the way over if conditions allow, then dock at the island for a couple of hours to do whatever you please. Would very highly recommend this trip!

We spent an amazing day with Diego Carlos Nastia and the crew snorkeling sailing and shopping. They were so great getting those of us who hadn’t snorkeled before comfortable. They made the whole trip fun and an adventure we will never forget. Thanks guys we can’t wait to see you again soon!!!

It’s been a long time since I can actually say I enjoyed myself 100% on an excursion. First off they picked us up from our resort and transferred us to the marina. When we arrived we were quickly directed to catamaran 12 where we met our guide RUBEN. He had a fantastic attitude that set the tone for the duration of the trip. He had an awesome crew backing him. Then they start the open bar which turns out never ends.
First stop the reef. After a few minutes for the safety orientation we were allowed to ride the current through the snorkeling area. While the reef is scarce and from a divers perspective dead there are many photo opportunities for fish. I have a attached a few. Still worth it for the novice snorkeler. With a nice surprise at the end. Again our guide was awesome and very accommodating to all levels of expertise.
Next stop, the swimming hole. Ok it’s not a hole but a nice anchoring spot off the beach and just shy of the docking location for the island. Due to the high winds and swift current we were unable to use the paddle boards as they’re intended to be used. Instead they tied them to the boat so that you could stay in close proximity and allowed you to get on and off of them at your leisure. Water temps were nice and again our guide was very informative.
The final stop is at Islas Mujeres. A nice little community island. I personally recommend going straight to the street and seeking a go cart rental. For $20 you get an hour to drive the island. Don’t pay anymore than that as they will try to get more out of you. It’s pre set by the government so naturally they’re going to try and score more. An hour is the perfect amount of time to circle the island and see every bit of it. When you get back to where you rented the cart there will be plenty of time to shop along the beach or in the “mall.” Or if your not a shopper go straight to the beach. The water is beautiful and the sand is definitely groomed to get seaweed out.
Lastly the catamaran will pick you up at the same port you were dropped off and you will get a chance for some wonderful pictures of the sunset. While you power away a short distance the crew will then set the rigging and set sail for home. The crew all awhile will continue to push the alcohol as quickly as you can accept it. When they say open bar there is no end. It’s open till the come back to port.
Again a great trip and as a reminder the crew works hard and will go the extra mile with no pre notion of a tip. Make sure you tip them for great service. They work for that and you won’t be disappointed.

We booked this excursion for the opportunity to snorkel in beautiful waters and reefs. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
First off we were picked us up from our resort and transferred us to the marina. As soon as we arrived at the marina, the transport left. Upon meeting with the excursion employees we were directed to our guide Terry who was from South Africa. He advised we would not be able to do any water activities because the harbor master closed the port because of the rough sea. We were given 2 options: 1. we could reschedule (which we could not because we were leaving the next day) and 2. we could continue with the excursion without the snorkeling. The main problem I had was if we were (which we were not) able to reschedule our transport had already left and we had no transportation back to the resort. So, we were kinda forced to proceed. We did ask if we could get a refund and were advised they did not do refunds.
As a result, we chose to proceed with the excursion. We were directed to Catamaran 12 which was led by Terry. He had a fantastic attitude that set the tone for the duration of the trip. He had an awesome crew backing him. Then they start the open bar which turns out never ends.
We did get to go to what they called the swimming hole. Ok, it’s not a hole but a nice anchoring spot off the beach and just shy of the docking location for the island. Due to the high winds and swift current we were unable to use the paddle boards as they’re intended to be used. Instead they tied them to the boat so that you could stay in close proximity and allowed you to get on and off of them at your leisure. Water temps were nice and again our guide was very informative.

Again, other than the fact we were not able to snorkel, it was still a decent excursion and as a reminder the crew works hard and will go the extra mile with no pre notion of a tip. Make sure you tip them for great service. They work for that and you won’t be disappointed.
This excursion is recommended. However, if it is extremely windy, check with your resort to find out if the harbor is closed before making the trip and being somewhat disappointed that you cant do water activities.
