Amazing time with Alex! Saw a turtle and stingray! Would definitely recommend! Genial, estupendo, una maravilla! If you have a camera that goes underwater, definitely bring it.

The guide was awesome and very informative! You can truly tell he has a passion for the ocean and what Mexico has to offer. My advice would be to book asap!!

We went to Riviera Maya in December 2021. We signed up for an excursion through the resort (Barcelo Maya) and we were blessed to have Pepe as our guide through Tulum, Akumal Beach & Cenotes. Him and his team were absolutely amazing and it was by far the highlight of our trip. He’s extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. Natalie was the photographer that came with us on all the trips and she took absolutely stunning photos that we just had to have them. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Diego – Diego was our driver who absolutely went above and beyond for us. He heard that it was my birthday and he surprised me with a delicious cake for myself and our group to share along with a fun birthday message to me on the side of the tour bus! It was extremely thoughtful. Pepe and his team at Ocean Tours are a must do when you visit Riviera Maya!

We went on a tour with Ty. He is easily the best tour guide I have ever had (having been on a dozen or so tours around the world). He was incredibly knowledgeable about all three of the activities, which meant delivering a ton of interesting facts, and putting them in context, in Mayan history, modern Mexican history, reef biology, economics of the tourism industry in the Yucatan, and geology. He also had a very friendly and helpful manner.
As for the tour itself, it was great. We had enough time for a good look at Tulum, quickly transitioned for a half hour or so of snorkeling, and then transitioned to a private cenote park, where we walked and swam an extensive cave, to end with a delicious taco meal in a forest pavilion.
Negatives: I would have preferred to spend a little more time in Tulum (maybe 15 more minutes would have been enough). The road to the cenote was long (~20 minutes) and very bumpy, so be mentally prepared for that.
Overall, I would highly recommend this tour and Ty. Easily worth it.
