1. Tulum Archaeological Site
Our certified guide will give you a brief tour of the archaeological zone, then you will have free time, this is the only Mayan vestige in front of the Caribbean Sea and it has one of the most beautiful beaches, so do not forget to bring your swimsuit.

2. Gloria Cenote
You can immerse yourself in the fresh waters of one of the most beautiful sacred cenotes of the Mayan culture, here we will also have lunch.

3. Archaeological Zone of Coba
You will be able to climb the only Mayan area that still has access to the public, reaching the top will enchant you. To get to the main pyramid you can either walk or rent a bicycle or tricycle.

4. Playa del Carmen
A brief visit to the most emblematic part of Playa del Carmen, the fifth avenue where you can shop or taste Mexican “antojitos”

The guide Tatiana was outstanding and was great with the group . The cave experience was surreal and unique as was the visit to the ruins . The snorkeling was fine we saw a few turtles a s sting rays but relative to other experiences the coral reef was not as beautiful or expansive as we expected.

A few things to be aware of that they don’t tell you

1. It’s a very long day and pickup times from Cancun very early – between 6am -7am without a stop for breakfast or even coffee .

2. We did not get back to our hotel until almost 10 pm as they are doing construction on the roads and were stuck in standstill traffic on the way back for almost four hours! According to the driver this will be the case for the next several weeks until construction is completed so be aware and plan accordingly . We were given a very light cold snack mid morning and had lunch around 2 pm . There are no opportunities really to stop to buy food , given the traffic and distances needed to travel to get to the sites …. That said pack your own snacks and breakfast and you will be more comfortable .

3. The bus is quite small and not at all comfortable for the distances covered however, was practical as some of the roads we took to the cenote were a little narrow and quite bumpy !!! . We did however notice other tours with slightly bigger and more comfortable buses .

4. Bring comfortable walking shoes and apply sunscreen and bug spray before getting on the bus as they cannot be applied at the snorkel site or cenote stops ….in order to protect the coral and wild life .

Although our guide was superb and the driver and professional photographer excellent ( amazing pictures captured) we would next time only take the tour if staying Tulum or playa del Carmen due to traffic issues commuting from Cancun for our own comfort .

We had a blast. Hopefully you have an awesome guide like David Casilla!! He made it super fun and was insanely knowledgeable about everything. We saw tons of massive sea turtles, huge manta rays, squids & other crazy fish. Food was meh but David is great and hilarious and so is the driver Artruro. He also literally drew all our names in this insane picture on the back of our van.. also a pro driver as it’s not easy in tulum! Good times for sure. We lucked out with these dudes.

We had such an amazing experience with Ocean Tours! We started off our vacation with the 3 in 1 Discovery Tulum experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide and driver! Cristina (tour guide) and Jesus (driver) added a special magic to our experience. Cristina was so knowledgeable in the history of the area and the ruins. The area was stunning. She made sure the whole family had a great time. The snorkeling was breathtaking! We saw huge sea turtles and manta rays. We had a couple of family members who were not strong swimmers and she coasted along with them the entire time to make sure they felt safe and enjoyed the experience. My favorite part of this tour was the visit to the private cenote. I’ve been blessed to travel quite a bit and must admit this cenote was enchanting and I didn’t want to leave!

We enjoyed Cristina and Jesus so much that we booked the Isla Mujeres trip a couple of days later and requested them. They showed up with smiles and refreshing beverages (wink wink). This tour was also amazing! The snorkeling was beautiful, the meal on the island was delicious and the shopping was exactly what I’d expect from a Mexican market.

One member of our party left their cell phone in the van and Jesus met us at the airport on our way out to return it! Ocean Tours has an amazing team. Thank you Cristina ana Jesus for memories of a lifetime!

David was a fantastic tour guide. Our large group had so much fun with him. He and our driver Arturo took such good care of us. It was a long day with lots of physical activities but David kept a positive and upbeat attitude that motivated us the whole time. Best day I have had in a very long time. Lunch also exceeded our expectations. It was delicious and more than enough for our big appetites.
