This tour was just great – super fun, informative and a nice change of pace while visiting Tulum. Our host Laura was so friendly and fun to hang out with.

We booked a private tour and every aspect was really exceptional. Our guide, JP, had expert knowledge and was caring, gracious and enthusiastic throughout the day. The stops were perfectly organized and incredibly memorable. This tour was the highlight of a fabulous Riviera Maya trip for many of our group of 9.

This was an outstanding trip experience and a wonderful memory for us in our trip to Cancun. Ruben was our tour guide and was an excellent guide, very friendly , kind, accommodating , a nature lover and knowledgable. There was never a rush or strict disciplinary tones which are typically part of such group tours. Without any of these Ruben was able to get everything done as per schedule.
The day started with a positive experience on how a missed cellphone was handed over at our hotel to a tourist (would have attended the tour a couple of days ago) by Ruben. At the Tulum ruins , another guide explained the Mayan culture and the different buildings there.
The most interesting as well as the challenging part was the Snorkeling. There were high waves and my son was the one most interested in doing the snorkeling and interested in seeing Turtles and stingrays. We were fortunate to see lot of fishes, sting rays and green sea turtle. We were a little skeptic about my 10 year old son getting into the ocean. Ruben gave us the confidence and he was always with him.
The Cenote experience was a totally different experience of swimming in a cave.
There was a photographer (Sorry I forgot the name) also part of the tour who took the snorkeling (under water photography , he swam with us) photos and the cenote photos. All the photos were excellent. The bus driver was also very helpful .
The trip finished with a buffet lunch ( Vegeterians don’t have to worry) and we finally started the return trip back to Cancun.

There is a photographer throughout the trip taking pictures. I paid $80 for the pictures and never received them. Terrible.

The sites were great and we really enjoyed Tulum and the Cenote at Xtun. There were several miscommunications though on pickup and the day seemed to dilly dally a little more than we (and the other members of the group) were happy with. Our guide was pretty well-informed if not a master of the history at Tulum and we probably would have been better off reading the signs there and exploring more on our own. Other than the pickup issues, the day otherwise ran fairly smoothly and wasn’t terribly taxing on us to figure anything out. A good trip overall.
