The excursion really included everything we wanted to do and had plenty of time for each excursion! Staff was amazing!!! Our guide Stefon was extremely knowledgeable and personable! We had a great time and he made it very memorable. Wendy was our photographer and she was excellent! Our driver was very quick and knowledgeable as well! The ruins were very hot but we were provided water before and after the tour and we had brought a few with us as well which helped. The snorkeling was my favorite😃 we saw a ton of stingrays and fish and also got to see 3 sea turtles! The cenotes where incredible and once again Stefon was extremely knowledgeable and had a lot of great facts. He even answered quite a few of our questions about the Mexican culture.
We truly enjoyed our time and appreciated our experience! I was very happy as this gave us the opportunity to do all thing things we wanted to do while in Mexico!

Rafael!! Rafa people!! Rafael and Arturo promptly picked us at the crack of dawn and we headed to retrieve the rest of our party. Our first stop was the historic Tulum ruins. Rafael was super informative. I appreciated his speaking voice and knowledge conveyed. Unfortunately our next stop to snorkel the reef was derailed and an impromptu trip to a sea lagoon where fresh and salt water meet provided go snorkel experiences. We would have loved to travel further but the cenotes were calling. A delicious lunch preceded our tour. We headed into a cave cenote which we haven’t done yet. Super cool (literally and figuratively). Maria was our go to photographer so she got some great shots (post purchase). Despite the long drive, it was a day we’ll spent!!

Cenote and caves are an amazing experience, but a bit rushed. The same could be said for the snorkling. Good overall, great spot, but not much time. Maybe I am spoiled after being to Pompae and throughout Europe but the Tulum Ruins were not that great. Everything is roped off, you cannot get that close. If I was driving by and pulled over for a few minutes fine, but don’t plan a day around it. The meal at the end is great for both food and service. Overall a good day, but you spend most of it driving down bumpy roads vs. at the actual sites doing the activities.

I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Tulum, Playa Maya and the X’tun cenote. Our guide Gabo was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional (e.g. making sure all of our life vests were secure).
The Tulum visit had its own guide that gave a lot of info and answered questions, far above what a normal self-paced visit would give us.
On the snorkeling section I did not expect it, but we saw 5 or more stingrays, and even two turtles swimming in the wild.
The cenote was also nice and we went for a proper trip on a course (i.e. not just the regular swimming in one body of water), and Gabo told us about the plants that can drill down through the limestone to reach fresh water, and the ecosystem of the cenote where blind fish and bats can live without light.
The photographer that came was very friendly and pushed us to take interesting pictures, above and underwater, with good lighting and details being captured, far above the regular “attraction photoshoot” experience. The price was also very competitive.
The only things that could be improved would be the food at the lunch (was quite basic and bland, juices were watered down) and maybe extend the Tulum and snorkeling time a bit (maybe move the lunch before the cenote?)

We did the 3-1 discovery and had a fun, informative and enlightening experience. Our guide, Rafa, definitely made the trip more fun. His energy & knowledge of each place we went was very impressive.
Tulum, was like a trip back through history of the Mayans that we’ll never forget.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to go snorkeling at the reef, due to windy conditions & very rough water. We still got to snorkel in a fresh/salt water mix location that had some pretty cool fish. The cenotes were pretty amazing too. Getting to walk through such a beautiful/spiritual place and even swim through the caves was on another level😉
I highly recommend the 3-1 discovery tour. You will not be disappointed… especially if you get Rafa as a guide. #Rafapeople
